The 2025 Les Young Scholarship applications are now open and will close on Wednesday, 30 April at 5 pm (AEST).
The prestigious scholarship provides funding to undertake an international course and paid placement at the renowned National Stud in England. The scholarship is open to individuals aged 18 – 25 who have at least two years of industry experience in breeding, bloodstock, spelling or racing and intend to continue contributing to the thoroughbred industry.
The scholarship will provide funding and support to the successful applicant via a combination of theory and practical coursework at the National Stud where they will develop further understanding around foaling and breeding, bloodstock husbandry and stable and equine management.
The programme can be tailored to suit the recipient depending on their experience and career goals. All travel and accommodation will be covered by the scholarship. The successful candidate will be notified on Thursday, 29 May.
