Adelaide trainers Richard and Chantelle Jolly missed out when stable star Regalo Di Gaetano was withdrawn from the $5million All-Star Mile in Melbourne on Saturday but they went some way to making amends with four winners at Morphettville.
Former Darling View Thoroughbreds stallion I’m All The Talk was instrumental in the career-high achievement with his full-sisters Daring Move and All Banter. On a Saturday to remember, Jacks On Ice (Valentia) Pudding (Tavistock) filled out the four-timer for the father-daughter team.
Daring Move made her way to the lead and just kept going for Jake Toeroek in the Junction Hcp (1000m). The 3yo filly started a well-backed favourite and never gave her supporters any cause for concern.
“She scored a nice win on debut at Balaklava last month,” Richard Jolly recalled. “She’s still learning her trade and we look forward to seeing what more she has to offer.”
All Banter also went out a popular public-elect to complete a big day for the stable and she complied in the Accolade Wines Hcp (1000m). Apprentice Campbell Rawiller was content to give up the lead in the early stages and that left plenty in the tank to overhaul front-runner Spanish Heirloom.
“She’s a versatile mare,” Jolly added. “She has led and won but we know she can sit and relax, too.”
All Banter was bred and sold by Mungrup Stud for $30,000 at the 2019 Perth Magic Millions and her latest report card shows 6 wins in 13 starts for prizemoney of $300,000. The highlight is a residual-raising victory in the Listed W J Adams Stakes (1000m) at Caufield.
The Jollys went back the following year and bought Daring Move for $65,000 in the Swan Valley for a syndicate managed by Perth part-owner Peter Caporn.
Their dam Bantry Bay (Tale Of The Cat) won a G3 SA Sires’ Produce Stakes and has a perfect record at stud with an amazing 8 winners from 8 foals to the races. Her unraced 2yo filly Bold Bantry by A Lot (USA) is with Ascot trainer Martin Allen and her yearling colt by the same sire was purchased by Simon Miller for $90,000 at last month’s Magic Millions.
I’m All The Talk (Stratum) died in January after covering a total of 214 mares in his final two seasons at Darling View.
