Kick A Goal Son climaxed an incredible afternoon for All American at Kalgoorlie on Sunday when he prevailed in a frenetic finish to the Vale Gordon L’Estrange Hcp (1200m).

He was the fourth winner in the first five races sired by All American.

Geisel Park’s Group 1 stallion started the day with the Peter Fernie-trained maiden winners Edward’s Choice and Sunshine Tafe.  They both started short-priced favourites and were both bred by Geisel Park but their paths to that first victory do differ.

Edward’s Choice had been placed 8 times in Perth and the Goldfields before the breakthrough for owner Andrew Inglis.  Sunshine Tafe doesn’t carry any baggage as a promising 2yo filly for a syndicate that includes Geisel Park owner Eddie Rigg, Chris Chalwell, Neil Pinner, Tony Buhagiar, Trevor Nisbett, Simon Lill and Inglis.

Sunshine Tafe sat behind the speed for Lucy Fiore and then swooped on the leaders to score by three lengths in the Elevated Work Services Maiden (1100m).  Her dam Miss Safari (Ferocity) is a half-sister to No Questions (G2 Karrakatta Plate) and French Favorite (LR Raconteur Stakes).

Total Lockdown (pictured) was next cab off the rank for All American in the Reilly Family Hcp (1100m).  He had won a Lark Hill 2yo trial for Simon Miller and has been a constant in Kal since winning a maiden on the opening day of the Goldfields season in March 2022.

Kick A Goal Son followed up with a last-stride victory to give Peter Fernie his third winner for the afternoon.  He has been switching stables between Fernie and Jason Miller for the last twelve months and Sunday’s win sent his earnings to $154,000.

All American (Red Ransom) sired him from Our Trade Secret (Trade Fair) who is a full-sister to LR Scenic Blast Stakes winner Cool Trade.  The four-timer sent his career stats to 252 individual winners of 749 races.

Geisel Park stands All American ($4,400) alongside Manhattan Rain ($8,250), Aysar ($8,800) and Winning Rupert ($8,800).  All fees (inc GST).  For bookings or further information, contact stud manager Conor Dunlop on 0447 434 735.
